Montgomery County's Premier Preschool Program for Ages 2-5

(Strictly a Preschool... NOT a Daycare!)

We are a small, family owned, preschool program. We offer 2 hour or 4 hour preschool and Kindergarten Prep classes, with a choice of 2 or 4 day class options.

At Kinder Garden Academy we focus on a literature based learning approach. Your child will love to learn, grow and discover their excellence with us.

When you're here, you're family! You'll love our friendly, inviting classroom, our structured teaching, and fun family events. But most of all your child will love the 1-on-1 attention we can provide by keeping our class sizes small.

We are so excited to have you come and grow with us!

Our Mission

Our missionn at Kinder Garden Academy is to provide a high quality, well rounded education for our students. We will accomplish this by offering a healthy, safe, and happy environment and partnering with families to deveop the social emotional ,and cognitive skills of each child.

“Children are like tiny flowers; they are varied and need care, but each is beautiful alone and glorious when seen in the community of peers.” Friedrich Fröbel ("the father of kindergarten")

At Kinder Garden Academy we take the “whole child” approach. We focus on all aspects of the child's growth, Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, Computational and Physical skills. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, follow routines, understand and handle emotions, as well as age appropriate life , academic skills, and social emotional skills. We are the teachers but we can't do it alone so we also believe in the importance of partnering with the families. When your child leaves Kinder Garden Academy they will have become "life long learners" and be more than ready for Kindergarten and beyond!

Our classes are an amazing option for parents who have children who have never been in a childcare setting before and would like their child to socialize before heading to Kinder. It is also great for parents who do not need traditional full time childcare but want their child to experience preschool to learn and grow in a small group setting.

Our program will help your children socialize, learn, and have fun in a safe and healthy environment without super overwhelming long hours and crowded classrooms. Think of it as a preparation for "Big Kid School". Your child will thrive in our small classroom community and build friendships that will last a lifetime! We offer a community not only for the kiddos but for our parents as well. We all become one BIG village of love and support and build friendships that last even after your kids have graduated our program!

Our Curriculum Is Developmentally Appropriate

We Use a Literacy Based Curriculum!

Don’t take your chances with other preschool programs. Instead, rest easy at night, knowing your child is getting the best preschool education to prepare them for Kindergarten !

What is a literature based curriculum?

A literature-based curriculum uses books as the main tool to build literacy in young children. This unique approach to learning has a number of

benefits for preschoolers. It exposes children to an abundance of new vocabulary and helps them understand how words are used in context.

It also exposes them to different people, places, and ways of thinking which helps children develop empathy as well as an appreciation for literature.

In a literature-based curriculum, teachers and children discuss what is read. Children are encouraged to think about what they read and share

their thoughts and opinions. Teachers plan different units and select books they use to teach about the topic. For example, when teaching a unit

about animals and insects, children might read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. In addition to teaching about the life cycle of a caterpillar, the book also covers counting, days of the week, and foods. Response activities and group discussions help ensure that children understand what they are reading..
