What is KINDERGARTEN BOOT CAMP?
Kindergarten Bootcamp is a four-day program designed to give entering kindergarteners the opportunity to experience a classroom setting and practice being a student before school begins.
Classes will be taught by a state certified teacher with over 30 years of experience. She was also an MCPS Kindergarten teacher until last year, so she is very familiar with what children need to be successful in Kindergarten.
In Kindergarten BootCamp, your child will learn...
To follow rules and routines
How to play and work in groups
Sharing and taking turns
Pre-Reading
Primary Math Skills
Social Emotional Skills
How to sit on the carpet and attend for at least 5 minutes
Listen and respond to stories
Recognize and write first name
and other pre-Kindergarten Skills
Children enrolled in the Kindergarten Boot Camp will also enjoy some fun activities, such as Science Experiments, Cooking, Arts and Crafts and a Mini Graduation at the end of camp.
What is Discovery Camp?
Discovery Camp is a fun camp program where children get to know themselves and the world around them. Children will
participate in fun Science, Cooking , Arts and Crafts, and other activities. Each week of camp will be centered around a
theme. Below you will find a list of themes that we may choose for this summer. We will give a comprehensive schedule
before camp starts.

Do I have to buy supplies or pay for field trips?
No. Your supplies are included with the cost of registration. All events and field trips are free for your entire family!
What is your health and safety policy?
We follow all local guidelines, including our 24-hour sickness policy (your child must be clear of the following symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school: fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea).
When does camp start?
Camp begins on July 5, 2023.
Do I have to enroll my child for all 6 weeks?
Kids enrolled in Discovery camp can be enrolled for any # of weeks during the summer. Just indicate the weeks you will be enrolled on the registration form. We ask that kids in KINDERGARTEN BOOTCAMP be enrolled for the entire 6 week session and 4 days per week, to recieve the maximum benefit from the program.
Do you offer a discount for siblings?
We do not offer a sibling discount for weekly tuition but you do not pay a separate registration fee for each child.
